The club runs events for the wider state, national and international rowers including: long tour rows showcasing SA - River Murray, Glenelg River, short tour rows around the lower lakes and a Wooden Boat Race (in conjunction with the Wooden Boat Festival). Holmesdale Memorial Tennis club 60 Breaker St St Morris SA 5068 Court resurfacing For 85 years Holmesdale Memorial Tennis Club has offered great facilities and  high level competition for men and women, boys and girls of all ages. We are small but we prideourselves on creating a great social but competitive atmosphere for all of our players. It has been 10 years since our six courts were resurfaced and they are requiring  an upgrade. We have been quoted $46,000 to resurface all six courts. An additional $4,000 would allow us to purchase new nets and posts, making the total upgrade to $50,000. The club was one of only 10 tennis clubs across Australia to secure an ANZ Hot Shots grant  of$10,000 earlier this year. If we were successful in gaining a $25,000 grant the club would put all of the $10,000 ANZ grant plus $15,000 of its own money to make up the total required. Jervois Netball & Tennis Facility upgrade: clubrooms, court & lighting Development of new changerooms/clubrooms/canteen/storage facility; resurfacing of our third court; and lighting upgrade: all to enhance the facilities at the Jervois Netball and Tennis court complex. Currently, we provide services and storage for our members and visitors from a wooden shelter, small corrugated iron shed fitted out as a canteen, and small storage shed for our equipment. We have an old toilet block located behind our buildings (without power) with male/female toilets. We do not have change facilities or showers to service our players and little room to accommodate the storage of bags & competition equipment for game days. Our third court installed in 05/06 requires resurfacing to bring up to playing and safety standards. Current lighting for the courts requires upgrading: replacing existing globes and light covers with LEDs, providing more energy-efficient lights to match standards for tennis as per recommendations from Tennis SA. The existing 4 tennis courts were last asphalted in 1987. The asphalt is well beyond the reasonable life of a "flexible pavement" and has significant cracking.

The project will provide a surface with renewed flexibility and a better level of waterproofing. This should lessen the likelihood of cracking resulting from subgrade movement associated with changes in moisture content.

This will provide a sustainable court surface for many years to come for both Tennis and the Modbury Hawks Netball club.

Diamond Sports SA Facility Safety Upgrade The Diamond Sports Facility has an urgent need for facility repairs and maintenance to ensure it is fit for purpose and compliant with building code. The recent damage to the electrical box, has led to the Diamond Sports, Baseball SA and Softball SA Boards questioning the overall structural integrity of the buildings at the facility.

Several areas of the facility are in urgent need of repair, along with a requirement for a paid contractor engaged by Diamond Sports SA to implement risk assessment plans, evacuation policy and procedures and various governance documents.

There is a dire need for improvement of facility management and risk mitigation strategies.

This project will see the facility brought up to an acceptable safety level.

With an MLB Audit to be conducted on the baseball diamond in the coming weeks, we are concerned that the field will not pass the strict audit guidelines which will stop top international players form being allowed to play at the venue. Automating irrigation at the Tintinara Golf Course The Tintinara Golf Club looking for funds to transfer from a manual irrigation system to an automatic system. The current system was installed in the 1960s, needing significant volunteer labour to operate, along with presenting significant irrigation efficiency and OH&S issues to those moving the sprinklers around.
‍The surrounding community is very supportive of the Golf Club, with more than 10% of the district being current club members. This is demonstrated by in-kind contributions of machinery and labour. All we are after is the additional cash contribution to cover the cost-price of the materials.

Unley Cricket Club 1 Kyre Avenue Kingswood SA 5062 Kingswood Oval Net Upgrade The project involves demolishing the existing andbuilding a brand new facility.

The scope of works is:

- Demolishing existing site.

- Pour concrete slab that protrudes 4m behind the bowlers run up, providing a safe surface for bowlers to run in on and reducing the damage to the grass.

- Use of AFL approved high impact grass to provide a soft surface for bowlers to run in on in nets 1 and 2. Also, providing a safe surface adjacent to the Unley Football Club boundary.

- 5 lane facility adding an extra lane which will cater for current demands.

- Galvanised fence along each net extending to the bowlers crease providing the required safety protection to players (which meets community cricket standards).

- Soft netting overhang extending the required distance from the batting crease (which meets community cricket standards).

- Lockable gates in nets 1, 2 and 3 only accessible for the cricket club. This will protect these nets for the cricket club increasing their longevity while also making nets 4 and 5 permanently available to the public. This was discussed with the Mitcham Council who agree with this idea.

- The facility will remain in the same location.

Woodville District Cricket Club Oval Ave Woodville South SA 5011 Practice Nets Upgrade In 2019, WDCC Committee agreed to focus on seeking grant funds to upgrade the existing turf practicenets which are approximately 20 years old and are showing signs of wear and tear. The  nets are used by junior/senior players at a minimum three nights a week which increases during representative tournaments.

The nets don't meet Community Cricket Facility Guidelines, there are gaps between the roof and sides due to a lack of structural integrity, causing continual drifting of cricket balls between the nets during practice sessions causing a potential safety hazard to players and coaches and creating a distraction during practice time.

There have been occasions in the 2019/20 season where cricket balls have passed through gaps in the nets and onto neighbouring roofs and rolling onto assets on the property posing a possible risk of causing damage. Coaches have been providing a positive liaison role on behalf of the club by listening to and reassuring the neighbours and taking action to minimise the risk by closing the gaps as much as practicable.

For the 2020/21 season the nets have been erected with the assistance of Peter Miranda Sports and the tension has been tightened ensuring there are no gaps.
