Congratulations to the local sporting clubs and organisations who have received funding through the latest round of the Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program.

By upgrading and developing local sporting clubs and recreation facilities, more members of the community can come together to connect, be active and enjoy a sense of belonging through sport.

I’m really proud to announce this investment – it is an investment which reaches communities around our state and will play an important role in improving the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of South Australians, and enable more people to access inclusive places and spaces.

I’m also thrilled to see that 15 applicants who missed out in the last round were successful in securing funding this year – this speaks to the enduring commitment and tireless efforts that generous volunteers put into improving their clubs for their communities.

I encourage those who missed out to consider applying again in future rounds. Our Government is committed to continuously funding sport and recreation projects, and this opportunity won’t be the last.
