Jess Stenson captured the hearts of the entire nation when she crossed the finish line first in the Women's Marathon at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

It was a truly inspiring performance from the South Australian who was competing in her third Commonwealth Games and her first Games since having her son Billy in 2019.

The win saw Jess become the first female athlete of any country to win medals in three Commonwealth Games Marathons (having claimed bronze in 2014 and 2018).

Now, she's sharing her wisdom to help others achieve their goals in the Corporate Cup.

Here are the Commonwealth Games gold medallist's top five tips to keep you motivated:

  1. Write down your goals for the Corporate Cup i.e health, fitness, performance, social and why these goals are important to you.
  2. Think of some friends and colleagues who might have similar goals and invite them to join you.
  3. Make sure you fuel / hydrate appropriately for each run or walk and refuel soon afterwards to maximise recovery.
  4. Invest in comfortable footwear.
  5. Be patient and realise that some weeks will feel better than others. Celebrate the little wins with your team.
