South Australia has welcomed the ground-breaking Webex Players Series to the Willunga Golf Course as Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and WPGA Tour of Australasia golfers take part in their first mixed-gendered tournament in the State.

The tournament has seen male and female professional golfers, as well as elite amateurs and All-Abilities players uniquely teeing off alongside one another in the first event of the 2023-24 Webex Players Series.

Sixteen juniors will tee off on Saturday as part of a 36-hole tournament.

The Webex Players Series is an exciting addition to a jam-packed calendar of SA major sporting events over the next 12 months including the Adelaide 500, the Adelaide International, Gather Round, LIV Golf, the Adelaide Equestrian Festival, Wheelchair Rugby National Championships, and the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final.

Fans, coaches, officials, and support staff are visiting SA for the event, and experiencing the world-class offerings the surrounding McLaren Vale wine region has to offer.

The Fleurieu Peninsula, including Willunga, contributes $665 million to South Australia’s visitor economy, with more than 4,000 people directly employed in tourism in the region.

The tournament is being broadcast on Foxtel/Kayo.

Our Webex Players Series is growing at an exciting rate. In just three years, it has grown from two inaugural events to five and we are delighted to bring both the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia, and the WPGA Tour of Australasia to the beautiful McLaren Vale region at the Willunga Golf Course.

With our men and women playing on the same course, for the same purse and trophy, plus All-Abilities golfers and elite juniors contesting their events, the Webex Players Series South Australia provides something for everyone.
