Eligible organisations can now apply for their share in more than $5.5 million through this year’s round of the Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program (CRSFP).

Not-for-profit sporting clubs, local councils, school boards and other organisationsare encouraged to apply for funding for the development of sustainable, functional, inclusive and fit-for-purpose active recreation and sport facilities that meet the current and future needs of the South Australian community.

The CRSFP supports participation through the rational development of good quality projects which will see more South Australians enjoying the many physical, mental and emotional health benefits associated with physical activity.

Sport and recreation are key pillars for thriving communities, and this funding represents the State Government’s continued investment in supporting South Australians to be more active, healthier and connected to one another.

To further support Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program applicants, the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing will host the following information sessions online:

Applications for the CRSFP close Monday 25 September 2023. Click here for more information on the application process.

Quotes attributable to Katrine Hildyard, Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing

Sporting clubs and recreation facilities are at the heart of our South Australian communities.

These are places where all community members can come together to connect, be active and enjoy a sense of belonging.

The State Government recognises the upgrade and development of sporting clubs and recreation facilities is exceedingly important to ensure that all people are able to incorporate movement, play and performance in their daily lives.

I encourage all eligible organisations requiring assistance to apply for the CRSFP and enable greater opportunity for participation in active recreation and sport.
