AusPlay Results Released

Sport Australia recently released the latest results from AusPlay, Australia’s biggest sporting survey.

On an interactive digital platform, this release covers data collected in the last calendar year (January to December 2019), before COVID-19 started in Australia.


All the results can be found on the AusPlay results pages on the Clearinghouse for Sport. Please note that if you have visited these pages previously you may need to refresh your browser to view the latest content.

Focus on participation by age

Important Note

From July 2019 a revised methodology has been implemented for AusPlay. Sport Australia has prepared a summary of the reasons for the changes, their impact and technical details.

Online portal

In addition to this publicly available information, the latest AusPlay data is also available in the online portal for Sport Australia staff and partners:

  • There are now seven releases of data in the online portal for users to interrogate (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 calendar years, plus the 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 financial years).
