Key Coaching and Officiating personnel from State Sport or Recreation Organisations are invited to join the State Coaching and Officiating Network (SCON).
In our most recent SCON on 5th October, Dr Juanita Weissensteiner from the Australian Institute of Sport presented on Athlete and Pathways Development Programs. Dr Weissensteiner is one of the best researchers and presenters in the world in the field of athlete development and the systems that can best help our athletes. This session was well received by attendants from a broad range of sports. For more information please check out the Australian Institute of Sport's website at https://www.ausport.gov.au/ais/athlete_pathways_and_development/pathways.
Members are welcome to attend the 3 network meetings each year to gain insights from key industry speakers as well as be updated on the programs offered by the Office for Recreation and Sport. It is also an opportunity to share initiatives and successes from different sports and to have an opportunity to network with counterparts from other sports.
Meetings are scheduled at the Office for Recreation & Sport from 9.30am to 11.30am on the following Tuesday's.
For further information on any of the above or for general enquiries, contact the State Coaching and Officiating Centre on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 1300 714 990.
