The Women in Sport & Recreation Mentoring Program provides women in SA Sports to learn from experienced leaders.
The Women in Sport & Recreation Mentoring Program is part of the Office for Recreation and Sport's broader commitment to increasing Diversity and Inclusion in the Sport and Recreation sector, with the specific aim of increasing the skills, knowledge, experience and networks of women working in the sector as a part of their overall career development and advancement.
Mentoring is more than the transfer of advice, knowledge and insights from the mentor to the mentee. The relationship offers reciprocal and tangible benefits for both parties.
This exciting new pilot program will pair high potential and/or aspiring leaders (mentees) with a mentor who is an existing leader in the South Australian sporting sector or someone who has other relevant experience from another sector. The program requires a six month commitment from both mentors and mentees.
Expressions of Interest (EOI's) are being called called for both mentors and mentees. While the mentees will be women, both men and women leaders are encouraged to register Expressions of Interest to participate in the program as Mentors.
Further information and Expression of Interest forms can be obtained by contacting Cheryl Barnett 8457 1430 or cheryl.barnett@sa.gov.au
