The SASI Diving team have returned from Melbourne competing in the World Cup Trials and the Oceania Championships. Grant Nel, Samantha Mils, and Taneka Kovchenko have all been selected for the 2016 FINA World Cup to be held in Rio in February.
The goal at the Oceania Championships was to secure spots for individual events at next year's Olympic Games and with victory in the mens 3m springboard Grant Nel did just that.
Matthew Carter and Samantha Mills with their respective synchro partners were also victorious in the 3m synchronised springboard events at the Oceania Championships. Australia has now secured all individual quota spots for Olympic selection. The final quotas for synchronised diving will be determined at the FINA World Cup.
Matthew Carter was also announced as a member of Diving Australia National Squad by achieving the national standard criteria.
This wraps up a fantastic year from the SASI Diving Program for 2015.
