The South Australian Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Plan will inform future investment for sport and recreation infrastructure in our State.

The Plan will identify the infrastructure needed to support sports participation from the grass roots level through to our elite athletes.

It will also identify infrastructure opportunities for those members of our community that want to be active through recreational pursuits such as walking, and cycling.

These may include recreational facilities such as trails and parks, community infrastructure like swimming pools, courts and playing fields through to bigger assets such as the Adelaide SuperDrome, State Hockey Centre and the SA Athletics Stadium, to major venues including Adelaide Oval and Coopers Stadium.

A key component of developing the plan will be wide ranging Community engagement.  This will provide the opportunity for the Government to listen to the community about their priorities and ideas on future facility provision.

The engagement includes an open survey that is now available for completion by any member of the public through the Government's consultation hub - YourSAy. The survey will be available for completion until 7 May 2019.

Targeted consultation will then focus on the recreation and sport community through State associations and their network of clubs and members, other State Government agencies, local government and the private sector.

As the project progresses information on the outcomes of the consultation will be made available on this page.  Further opportunities for input to the plan will also be provided at key stages in its development.
