The following is a list of current or recently completed major projects funded by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.

Development Projects

SA Athletics Stadium

Upgrade of the stadium's spectator tiers to allow for improved spectator seating arrangements.

Diamond Sports – Adelaide Shores

New facilities at Adelaide Shores will bring softball and baseball together to share this facility. The project will result in upgrades to the current two diamonds and the creation of a third diamond along with an indoor training facility that will help player development in both sports.  New administration facilities and change rooms will also be provided.

Kilburn Primary School site

Development of a community soccer facility at the former Kilburn Primary School site in partnership with the Football Federation of South Australia and the West Adelaide Hellas Soccer Club.

South Australian Netball Association

The resurfacing of outdoor netball courts, refurbishment of goal posts and post protectors, and an upgrade to lighting of the outdoor courts.

The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre

Development of The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre providing an indoor recreation centre offering court sports, two indoor pools, health and fitness facilities, two soccer pitches with club facilities and a theatre.

Port Augusta Sports Hub

Redeveloping the Central Oval Sporting Facility to create the Far North Regional Community / Sports Hub at Port Augusta. Lead by the Port Augusta City Council with funding support from the State and Federal Governments and the South Australian National Football League. Planning Projects.

Campbelltown Leisure Centre Redevelopment

Led by the Campbelltown City Council with funding support from the State and Federal Governments, the Campbelltown Leisure Centre is being redeveloped into a key regional level facility that will serve over a quarter of Adelaide's population in its daily operations as well as catering for a wide range of local, regional, state and national sporting events.

South Australian Regional Level Recreation and Sport Facilities Planning Guidelines

Initiated by the Local Government Recreation Forum and Jointly funded by the Local Government Association of South Australian and the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, the Guidelines have been developed to assist Councils, State Government and State Sporting Organisations to better plan, design, develop and manage major (Regional Level) recreation and sporting facilities.

Produce by InsideEDGE Sport and Leisure Planning in conjunction with Local Government, State Government and Sport SA, the aim of the Guidelines is to promote a more inclusive and collaborative approach to the planning, development and management of facilities.
